Learn about yantras, geometrical designs used in spiritual practices, and the different Goddesses and Goddess qualities. Move through a slow flowing asana practice, followed by a discussion of the themes, and then recreate your own yantra with imbued qualities of the Goddess.

Yantras are used in spiritual traditions, as tools for meditation, or worshipped as representations of divinity. In the tradition of yoga, yantras were thought to hold the energy of the Gods and Goddesses, and so we see them displayed in temples and placed on altars. This tradition is less common in Western cultures, but nevertheless, it is a powerful and transformative practice. Studying and recreating a yantra can awaken or deepen your spirituality, as well as have profound effects on your life and your capacity to find peace and joy.

In this workshop we will study the different forms of the Goddess and Goddess qualities, and recreate selected yantras imbued with these qualities. The workshop is not designed to be a serious, historical adaptation of spiritual practices, but rather an enjoyable evening with stories, movement and breath-work, creative expression and friendly conversation.

We will seek to find a state of flow, where creativity comes alive, where what you value most presides in the heart, and where you can play with colours and create something of spiritual significance. All while sitting in a group of like-minded friends, sharing their values and creative processes with you.

We want everyone to feel relaxed and happy during this time, and so if you would like to bring anything from home to make you more comfortable; for example a blanket, meditation cushion, sacred crystals, or even a bottle of wine to share, we encourage it!

No experience is required and you don’t need to bring anything other than what has already been mentioned above. Please direct all questions to Jess or Kim. Om Shanti!
